Other Activities with Troll Trekking As we are a specialised holiday company we can offer a wide range of other activities, experiences and challenges that can be built into your holiday. Scrambling – This is an exciting alternative to walking up mountains and can be built into our itinerary when out in the mountains of UK and Europe. Bird and Wildlife Watching - We are keen bird watchers and members of the RSPB having visited some of the best reserves in the country, years of experience of wild walking has helped us build up a knowledge of when and where to see wild animals. Wild Flowers – We have a large library of slides, photos and books detailing the array of wild flowers that can be viewed in both Europe and the UK, and we can arrange walking holidays in Austria or the Pyrenees with this as our main focus. Photography – Most people like to capture the experiences and adventures of their holidays and we can build in the time to do this and give advice to those starting out with digital photography. Geography and History – All the places Troll Trekking visit have been researched so your days can be enhanced with information about the regions you choose for your holiday. Sailing and Boating – A great way to see the landscape and have a rest day. We have a qualified skipper on the team so can arrange for dinghy sailing or perhaps a sail on a traditional broads yacht. We can also arrange for trips out in small boats to visit bird reserves or to see seal colonies along out coast.
Mountain Skills Coaching We can teach you the skills needed to be able to access Basic Expedition Leader Award, Walking Group Leader Award and Summer Mountain Leader Award courses with confidence; or just to give you the knowledge and experiences to go out on your own. Skills may include: Navigation including night navigation, micro navigation and orienteering. Safety in the mountains including first aid, weather awareness, safety and emergency procedures. Living outdoors to include camp craft, cooking, and environmental awareness. Route planning and preparation including use of computer map work programs, Expeditions: what and how to pack, and wild camping.
Corporate Development & Team Building Getting people away from the day to day grind of the office can prove to be really benefical. It makes staff take a break from the everyday concerns and the office policies and working structures, allowing all levels and other departments to get to know each other and engage in some healthy competition. Team building can work as a foundation for team building, leadership development and management training. It can also be used as a method of bringing people together from other offices around the country within the same organisation, allowing them to get to know each other.
